Service Terms and Conditions — Vendor Version (Laundry Owners)
(Connecta Services — Vendor Terms and Conditions)
1. Introduction and Legal Entity
Welcome to CONNECTA SERVICES platform and application for service providers and laundry owners. The application and its associated services are owned and operated by Connecta Services Establishment, a sole proprietorship registered and officially established in the United Arab Emirates.
Your registration in the application as a Service Provider or your use of any of its features shall constitute an acknowledgment by you that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms shall become legally binding upon you as of the date of registration or commencement of use, as the case may be.
2. Nature of Legal Relationship
The Connecta Services platform operates as a service intermediary and commercial e-commerce intermediary. Its role is strictly limited to providing the technical infrastructure and smart application that connects the Service Provider with Customers and delivery representatives, as well as managing the flow of orders and transactions through the platform.
Connecta is not a partner, agent, employer, or actual operator of the laundry business, and does not interfere in its internal management, operational execution, or the Service Provider's relationship with its employees or suppliers. The Service Provider shall remain independently liable for its commercial business and all of its statutory and operational obligations.
No partnership, agency, employment, or legal representation relationship shall arise between Connecta and the Service Provider as a result of using or registering on the platform, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in a written agreement.
3. Registration and Commercial Account Conditions
The laundry owner undertakes to provide true, accurate, complete, and updated data upon registration, including the laundry or business name, physical location, contact number, email address, and any data or documents requested by the platform to verify the account.
The Service Provider bears full liability for maintaining the confidentiality of its account login credentials, as well as for all operations, prices, and order updates performed through the Dashboard using its account. The Service Provider undertakes to notify Connecta immediately upon suspecting any unauthorized use or account breach.
The laundry owner warrants that its establishment is legally licensed by the competent governmental authorities in the United Arab Emirates to perform laundry and ironing services, and that all licenses, permits, and approvals required to conduct business remain valid throughout the period of platform use. The Service Provider shall be solely liable for any liability, fines, or claims arising from non-compliance with applicable municipal, economic, or regulatory laws, regulations, or requirements governing its business activity.
Connecta reserves the right to request necessary documents or data to verify license validity or the Service Provider's eligibility to continue using the platform, and may suspend the account until requirements are fulfilled whenever reasonable grounds exist.
4. Prices, Commissions, and Financial Transactions
The laundry owner shall have the right to set and update service prices through the application, and undertakes to adhere to the prices displayed to the Customer without imposing any unannounced or unbilled additional fees, charges, or amounts.
Commissions, percentages, and deductions retained by "Connecta Services" shall be subject to the terms agreed upon in the Commercial Agreement or contract executed between the Platform and the Service Provider, which shall serve as the official reference for determining the financial consideration due to the Platform.
Financial dues shall be settled and transferred to the laundry in accordance with the agreed-upon financial cycle, after deducting the Platform's commission, electronic payment gateway fees, and legally applicable taxes or charges, as the case may be.
The Service Provider undertakes to enter accurate bank account details and update them when necessary, and shall bear full liability for any delay or error in funds transfer resulting from inaccurate or outdated bank details provided by it.
5. Quality of Service and Liability for Compensation
Direct legal and commercial liability for garments and property received by the Service Provider shall rest solely with the Laundry from the time of pickup until delivery to the delivery representative, including safeguarding items and taking appropriate professional measures to prevent loss, damage, or co-mingling with third-party items.
In the event of damage, loss, color alteration, or any harm to garments due to error, negligence, or improper handling by the Laundry or its personnel, the laundry owner undertakes to address the damage and compensate the Customer in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and the approved compensation policy between the parties.
The Platform shall facilitate communication and dispute resolution without such intervention relieving the Service Provider of its original liability for the damage attributed to it.
The Service Provider shall remain liable for adhering to the announced service levels, execution timelines, safeguarding customer property, and for any claims, fines, or losses arising from its fault or negligence, within the limits established by law and contractual agreements.
6. Account Suspension and Prohibition
Connecta Management reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend, restrict, or block the laundry account, depending on the severity of the situation, upon the occurrence of any of the following:
- Repeated customer complaints regarding service quality, garment cleanliness, or persistent delays.
- Price manipulation or attempting to conduct transactions with Platform customers off-platform to evade commissions.
- Providing false or misleading information or documents, or using the account for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
- Expiration, cancellation, or suspension of the license required to conduct business, or failure to provide required verification documents.
- Any material breach of these Terms or the Commercial Agreement executed with Connecta.
In cases involving fraud, security risks, or violations that may harm customers or the Platform, Connecta may take immediate action to suspend the account, subject to subsequent procedures as dictated by the nature of the case.
7. Statutory and Operational Obligations
The Service Provider undertakes to comply with all laws, regulations, decisions, instructions, professional, health, municipal, economic, tax, and other statutory requirements applicable to its business. The Service Provider shall be solely responsible for obtaining, renewing, and maintaining all required licenses and approvals.
The Service Provider further undertakes not to use the Platform for any activity that violates the law, public order, or public morals, and shall refrain from submitting forged or misleading data or documents.
8. Confidentiality and Data Protection
The Service Provider undertakes to maintain the strict confidentiality of all data and information obtained through the Platform or as a result of dealing with Customers. Such data shall not be used except to the extent necessary to fulfill orders and services, and shall not be copied, sold, shared, or exploited outside its intended purpose, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable personal data protection legislation.
The Service Provider undertakes to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect customer data received via the Platform, and to notify Connecta immediately upon any unauthorized access, loss, disclosure, or security incident involving such data.
9. Intellectual Property and Platform Usage
All intellectual property rights pertaining to the Platform, application, trade name, logos, interfaces, software, and content owned by or licensed to Connecta shall remain the exclusive property of Connecta. The Service Provider may not copy, modify, exploit, or use any portion thereof outside the scope of authorized use.
10. Amendments and Termination
Connecta reserves the right to amend these Terms when necessary to enhance services or comply with statutory updates. The Service Provider shall be notified of amendments through approved Platform communication channels. Continued use of the Platform after amendments become effective shall constitute acceptance of the revised Terms, unless the Service Provider elects to terminate usage in accordance with available procedures.
The Service Provider may discontinue using the Platform, and Connecta may terminate or suspend the relationship pursuant to these Terms or the Commercial Agreement, without affecting rights and obligations accrued prior to the termination date.
11. Force Majeure and Technical Failures
Neither party shall be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including general technical failures, telecommunication service outages, emergency events, or governmental decisions prohibiting execution, to the extent that the effects of such circumstances persist.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in force in the United Arab Emirates. Competent courts in the United Arab Emirates shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, unless agreed otherwise in writing by the parties.
13. General Provisions
These Terms, together with any Commercial Agreement or other documents explicitly referenced herein, constitute the entire framework governing the relationship between Connecta and the Service Provider regarding Platform usage. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a written Commercial Agreement signed by both parties, the provisions of the specific Commercial Agreement shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions, and the unenforceable provision shall be replaced by an enforceable provision that achieves its legitimate legal purpose to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Acknowledgment and Consent
The Service Provider acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, confirms that all data and documents provided are accurate, and agrees to be bound by all provisions herein and any commercial agreements associated with its use of the Platform.
